Premier Announces
New Board and Officers
The Shareholders
of Premier Medical Group recently elected their Board of Directors for
the 2008 calendar year.
Dr. Jeff Anderson was elected to lead the group as president. Dr. Jeff
Anderson, board certified and a Fellow with the American College of Obstetrics
and Gynecology, joined Premier to begin his medical practice in 1996.
Dr. Bill Moore was elected Vice-President. He is board certified and
a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics and began his medical
practice in Clarksville in 1992. Dr. George Lu will serve as Secretary.
He is board certified and began his medical practice in Clarksville in
2002.
Other board members include Dr. Tim Roads, board certified and a Fellow
of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Roads started his pediatric
medical practice in Clarksville in 1985. Dr. Dan Miller is board certified
and began his medical practice in Clarksville upon completing his military
commitment in 2003. Dr. William McIntosh, board certified and a Fellow
with the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology, joined Premier
to begin his medical practice in 1996. Dr. Robert Kasper, board certified,
joined Premier and started his medical practice in Clarksville upon completing
his military commitment in 1997. Board members are elected annually by
the shareholders of PMG. Dr. Mike Carrigan, board certified and a fellow
with the American College of Internal Medicine and Medical Director of
Premier, and Bob McCorkle, Chief Administrator, serve as advisors to
the Board of Directors.

Flu Season is Here
You can
prevent influenza by getting your flu vaccination each fall. It's especially
important for people at high risk for complications from the flu to be
vaccinated. This group includes: adults 50 and older, children ages six
months to five years, people living in nursing homes, anyone older than
six months with chronic illnesses or weakened immune systems, and expectant
mothers.
Premier Medical Group
expects to start giving flu shots this month. Please call the office
of your primary care physician for further details.

PMG begins Hospitalist
Program
This new
program provides hospitalist physicians who work in conjunction with your
primary care doctor to provide you with excellent healthcare when you are
admitted to the hospital. Dr. Jason James, D.O. and Dr. Alaa Abd El Rahman,
M.D are committed to providing you with the best possible care during your
hospital stay. Any hospital care you receive is coordinated and communicated
with your primary care physician.

PMG expands locations
and hours
In our
efforts to meet the primary care needs of our growing community, we are
happy to announce that doctors Lance Sherley, and Joseph Kosinski, along
with Physician Assistant Kathi Harper, have relocated their primary care
practice to our St. Bethlehem Primary Care location at 2147 Wilma Rudolph
Boulevard. Patients may schedule appointments by dialing the same number,
245-8600.
We've also increased
our hours of accessibility for your convenience. Monday thru Friday
we are open from 8am until 7:30pm, Sat from 8-3:30
and Sunday from 1:3-30pm at our Governor's Square location at 2831 Wilma
Rudolph Boulevard.

Dr. Peter Silkowski
named Gateway Physician of the Year
Dr. Silkowski
was chosen by the staff at Gateway for the service, commitment and attention
that he provides to his patients. He was also recognized for his leadership
as the chairman of the performance improvement team and his willingness
to educate and assist the staff, his fellow physicians and the Clarksville

Certified As Medical Review Office
Dr. Lance
Sherley of Premier Medical Group was recently certified by the Medical
Review Officer Certification Council (MROCC), an independent physician
based certifying body which conducts an extensive application process and
written examination to identify licensed physicians with the highest professional
standards of medical expertise and practical skills necessary to evaluate
drug and alcohol test results in public and private sectors of the workplace.

Melody Walls Receives
Wound Care Certified Credentials
PMelody
A. Walls, ACNP-BC, has successfully completed all requirements needed to
be certified as a Wound Care Certified Practitioner. As a Board Certified
Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Walls is trained to diagnose and treat
a broad range of illnesses in children and adults of all ages. She brings
over twenty years of experience as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner.
With additional training as a Wound Care Certified Practitioner by the
National Alliance of Wound Care, Ms. Walls is qualified to work closely
with patients and other medical practitioners to plan and provide care
for patients with complicated wounds, pressure ulcers, and potential skin

Dr. Wade Huffman, board certified by the American
Academy of Family Physicians was elected to lead the group as president.
Dr. Huffman is Medical Director for Premier Occupational and Travel Medicine.
He joined Premier in 1996 after completing his military commitment in the
United States Army. Along with his training in family medicine, Dr. Huffman
is a certified Medical Review Officer, certified Independent Medical Examiner
and certified by the Federal Aviation Administration as an Aviation Medical
Examiner.
Dr. Bill Beauchamp was elected Vice-President. He is board certified by
the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopaedic Surgery and started his medical
practice in orthopaedic surgery upon completion of his military commitment
in 2002.
Dr. Tim Roads will serve as Secretary. He is board certified and
a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics. Dr. Roads started his pediatric
medical practice in Clarksville in 1985.
