           Compact Physician of the Quarter

We are pleased to announce that Dr. William McIntosh is the Premier Compact Physician of the quarter. At the same time we would like to congratulate Dr. McIntosh on being Premier's newly elected President.

Dr. McIntosh has been an exemplary physician from the beginning in helping to build his OB/GYN practice, and Premier's practice in general, through various group building behaviors including most recently beginning to serve as President of the group. Please join us in congratulating Dr. William McIntosh on being Premier's Compact Physician of the quarter.

The Physician Group Compact is an informal understanding between the physicians in the group as to what physicians expect to “give” to the group and what physicians expect to “get” from the group in return.

In general the “give” side of the Compact relates to forming new relationships with patients in order to meet their higher level of expectations, delegating authority to the Board and working with peers and site leadership in a synergistic manner, being committed to behaviors which will build and strengthen our business and valuing and respecting the contributions and inputs of other individuals in the group.

In general, the “get” side of the Compact relates to being a member of a very strong medical group in the community and enjoying the practice support which we have in Premier Medical Group and the relationships with our colleagues, patients and support staff and having our own contributions valued and respected by others in the group.  We also believe that both the “give” and the “get” side of the compact are empowered by appropriate proactive communication between all components of the group including, not only physicians, but also administrators, support staff, patients and the community in general.

Therefore, at least quarterly, and hopefully monthly, the group will be featuring a Compact Physician of the Month who exemplifies the spirit of the new physician group Compact as it specifically relates to one of the areas of the Compact or to the Compact in general. I would greatly appreciate your forwarding to me any nominations for the Compact Physician of the Month with a specific example of that physician’s having demonstrated the spirit of the Compact as set forth above.
