Appointments  

Our physicians see patients by appointment.  When calling for or using the Internet to request an appointment, please be specific as to what type of appointment you need.  We ask that "same day" or urgent appointments call the (931) 245-8600 for appointment times or triage advice instead of using the Internet-based appointment request form.

We ask that established patients arrive 10 minutes before the time of their appointment and that new patients arrive 30 minutes prior to their appointment.  If a patient is 20 minutes late, he or she may be asked to reschedule the appointment.  If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that you give us 24 hours notice.    Return to list .


After Hours

We offer after hours care at the Governor's Square clinic.  This clinic is designed for patients with non-emergency problems that develop during the evening or on a weekend.  This keeps you from long waits and high expenses usually associated with emergency room care.  So remember, when you need a doctor at night or on weekends, call 245-8600.  The staff will either give you an appointment, put you in contact with the specialist on call, or make other recommendations for your specific problem.  We proudly offer this service for our Premier patients.  Return to list.


Payments  

We accept most major insurance plans. We ask that co-payments and deductible not satisfied be paid at the time of your visit.  If you have any questions about your bill please call our Central Billing Office or fill out a Billing Inquiry form.  The number is  245-7092.  Return to list.


Referrals 

Premier Medical Group offers comprehensive care.  Should the need arise for a referral to a specialist, your primary care physician will continue to supervise your health care.  If you are a member of a managed care insurance plan that requires referral preauthorization, please let us know at the time of your visit and our staff will be happy to coordinate the referral authorization paperwork on your behalf.  We cannot give retroactive referrals.  Return to list.


Waiting Time 

We strive to see our patients in a timely manner.  However, at times some patients may have urgent medical situations that cause other patients to wait.  We will notify you when these delays occur.  If it seems you have been waiting too long, please speak with the receptionist.  Return to list.


Prescription Refills 

 If you receive on-going medical care at Premier Medical Group and need a prescription refill, please call Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.  Because of our large volume of calls requesting medication refills, we ask that you call at least 24 hours before you will actually need the refill.  Please contact your pharmacy for information of when and if the prescription is ready.  Requests made after 12:00 noon on Friday will not be ready until the following Monday afternoon.  We cannot phone in new prescriptions, antibiotics, or controlled substances such as narcotics or nerve medications.  Certain medications require that patients pick up the prescription, and by law we can not phone those into the pharmacy.  For your convenience, you may also make a Refill Request from our web site.  Return to list.
